I am not a big sweet eater probably because I am not a good baker (growing up there was not even an oven in my home!). But, I do have a bad bad habit – which is overly craving granola. Even though granola is a better snack then cake, pudding, or chocolate – it is still not good to eat too much. Think about it, 1/3 cup of granola usually has 105 calories and 3 – 5 g fat so we need to be careful about it.
There needs to be a snack which is healthy, fulfilling with granola, I thought.
I recently came across this recipe on Trader Joe’s website (I can’t find it anymore) that combines pear, greek yogurt and granola. All three of them are my beloved ingredients so why not a try? It is a breakfast recipe but I made it for my Sunday afternoon treat.
It turned out to be AMAZING. I couldn’t imagine that pear and greek yogurt complements each other so well even though they are both in the “sour” category. The fact that the pear is sweet and juicy satisfied my stomach so I didn’t reach out to my granola bag again and again. This is rare.
Hope you all have a wonderful new week!
