Sam Wo is so far my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city. The food there is not fancy, but features a more home-made and down-to-earth style. Unlike some of other Chinese restaurants that try to offer everything, Sam Wo has a very clear menu strategy – porridge, rice plates and noodles are the stars (did I mention before that I hate restaurants that offer thousands ways of cooking chicken but none of them are authentic?)
I was amazed by the Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup, the beef is so tender that you can almost swallow it. I also love the Hong Kong Style Milk Tea, freshly brewed with a creamy note – unlike most of the bubble milktea which made from powder. I also recommend their Scrambled Egg with Beef over Rice, it is a very typical meal in Guangdong or Hong Kong. Silky egg with the juicy beef is simply irresistible.
