I am a big foodie and I always love to try different cuisines. However, when it is a holiday season or when it is cold, I always go back to my roots – Chinese food. It always warms up my stomach and my heart. I recently discovered a very authentic Chinese food restaurant (a Cantonese style) just 2 minutes away from my home. Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood, located right besides the Emery Cove Yacht Harbor, enjoys a spectacular view of the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. Hey, there is really no better location for a seafood restaurant like here.
When I walked into the restaurant, I knew it is a place like what we have in China. A large section of fresh seafood including Alaskan king Crab, Australian lobster, pacific Lobster and large rock cod…all of them are alive and swims in big aquariums. They also have the rotating glass tables so that diners can share food. Yes in China we always order a bunch of food and we share. We never eat a plate of salad or a bowl or meat individually.
When the restaurant offers Dim Sum during the weekends, you feel like coming to a party. Do you know that in Hong Kong, people call eating “Dim Sum” breakfast tea and elder people can enjoy their breakfast tea until afternoon? This is the way to enjoy a slow life after retirement I guess.
