Hey friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. This weekend I spent most of my time in…watching Cupcake Wars! OK normally when I watch Food Network, I am addicted to Iron Chef, Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay, I love watching chefs creating different meals (savory side), as I am not a sweet eater. But this time, Cupcake Wars really got hooked! I am so amazed in seeing the talented baker can give a simple cupcake so many twists, by adding a fondant decoration, by adding some magical buttercream on top, or by hiding some compound inside. Sky is the limit for imagination. I love everything relates to bold imagination and creativity – they encouraged me to think outside of the box!
Today I wanted to share with you the pictures I took from a bakery cafe in Chiang Mai, Thailand – Mai Bakery in Garden. The owner Mai made this cafe like a sweet home – just as she described, you need to take your shoes off to sit in this neat, tidy and cozy place. The cakes here are so fresh – made by fresh orange, kiwi and strawberry. Thailand is a tropical country that is abundant of fruits, I can eat 5 pounds of fruit here everyday. Life can be so simple here. The beautify of peacefulness and simplicity.
