Summer flies just so fast. May, June, July, August…I couldn’t believe after two months fall is in the corner. Summer sunshine is never enough for me. Buffalo’s summer is the best – not extremely hot and humid, it is mild with breeze that I can freely walk outside and don’t worry about getting tanned.
Last week I had my 1st panna cotta at Ristorante Lombardo , an Italian restaurant since 1975. I always believe that a great restaurant comes with a story, because ultimately it is a place all the people connection happens. Where the passion is from, how the menu gets evolved, how the dining house gets remodeled…all these details contributes to the picture and make that experience. I found out historical menus of Lombardo from their website (see the last picture here).
Besides panna cotta, I also had tomato soup, beet and avocado salad, and finally touched a little bit Tiramisu. Although I always wanted to try new things, but Tiramisu is really the must have in an Italian restaurant. My favorite is just the tomato soup – that creamy texture made the meal hearty and satisfying.
